Just as it would hurt my feelings if my kids doubted my commitment to them or my faithfulness or my intentions towawrd them, I'm sure God feels our doubt intensely. Great analogy that truly puts our doubts into perspective. Thank you for sharing and thanks so much for stopping by. Such good reminders to think about when we doubt God. I am reminded of this quote from Madeleine L'Engle: "Those who believe they believe in God, but without passion in the heart, without anguish of mind, without uncertainty, without doubt, and even at times without despair, believe only in the idea of God, and not in God himself.
Hello, I read a book by Madeleine L'Engle when I was homeschooling my children many years ago, and even though I don't remember the title, I remember it was a very impactful book.
Thank you for sharing that quote. And thanks so much for stopping by. Thank you so much for your encouraging words I'm thankful for His grace and patience with me!
Hi Laura, You are very welcome. Thanks so much for stopping by. Some really great scripture points. I especially like the Jeremiah one, and praise Jesus for God's everlasting love and compassion.
Have a great week and Valentine's Day. Hi Peabea, Amen! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Great post! Thank you so much for the wonderful reminders of God's faithfulness. Thank you so much. God bless, Liz. Hi Liz, Thank you so much for sharing that with me. Praising God for how He used this post to bless you in your time of doubt. May you be reminded of these Truths over and over again. Thank you so much Karen for writing this blog.
My initial concern was that I sometimes doubt when I pray for others. Now I realize how much I doubt God in general. I have battled with receiving His love and forgiveness and so many other things for so long, but I refuse to let another day go by. Especially after all God has shown me. Thank you so much again and bless you! Thank you so much for sharing your heart. Post a Comment Thank you for taking the time to comment.

The truth is, you may not be able to help banish their doubts. They may reflect on previous discussions or debates over religion. This tension could lead them to draw the conclusion that it would be best if all religions were equally true, or if none were true. Over time, I was able to help reveal God.
They remained atheists who would not accept Jesus as their Savior. They wanted to keep doing what they were doing without God interfering. For years, cynical people have rejected church because of a belief that Christians are too into politics. In the last year that issue has become exponentially worse.
Many feel that Christians have prioritized political issues over character because their support of politicians is viewed as immoral. This has created a crisis of faith for many and gives another reason for those already outside the faith to have no interest in coming in. What can we do to be more effective in our mission of leading these people to faith? Are you a fan or a follower of Jesus? Make Jesus more than someone you admire, but the very center of your life!
Through biblical teaching, anecdotes, and humor, Pastor Kyle Idleman explores what it means to truly be a follower of Christ. Well, lots of reasons. Here are some: 1. Experiences at College People who lose their faith often do so in college. Intellectual Challenges Intellectual questions about faith often start between the high school and college years and can continue indefinitely. Desiring Unity When a believer meets someone from a differing religious background, they may feel uncomfortable defending their faith.
Politics For years, cynical people have rejected church because of a belief that Christians are too into politics. Always be prepared to answer everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
